FORTIETH DAY PRAYER FOR MANANG CHINIT

The fortieth day prayer at home was attended by our relatives and neighbors. The San Carlos Church Choir who sang during the funeral mass is also members of the “Marian Prayer Movement Group” who encourages everyone to pray the rosary for world peace. The three most senior of the group are my contemporaries. They made me an “honorary member”. We have relatives in the group, a devout husband and wife-both MDs - he happens to be our city’s Health Director – Dr G Mondoc on the (Padlan side).     

The first part (prayer) was very solemn which was followed by dinner (celebration). The third part turned out to be “entertainment”- karaoke singing and dancing. Our Health Director put out a good showmanship, good voice too. He was rocking during the karaoke session. DJ-Darius Jr. was swinging too, delighted everybody. 

Baby Munoz, wife of our cousin Mario, captured everyone’s attention as she sang her favorite song, ala-M Carey. She is a very proud mom. Her dau-Kathyline, MD, is now doing her residency in Dagupan City at the regional hospital. CONGRATULATI0NS! Kathy.

Then there was a follow-up prayer and celebration-picnic at the backyard.
